4/2/2024 0 Comments Xplane 11 panel lights key![]() ![]() I guess such thinks would need to be labeled as “wishlist” items. Now there seem to be cases in some aircraft where the brightness dial is the only 3D cockpit control to turn them “on” (so there is no additional switch) … but in those cases I would expect the control binding to not simply “toggle” an internal bit-state … but to actually “dial up” the brightness to max if it is presently at zero. Does anyone know what the keyboard commands for runway turnoff and logo lights are for the default 737-800 (X-Plane 11). The brightness dials seem like candidates … or are real pilots always dialing them down when they shut down the aircraft? So I would like to see some more “cockpit state” preserved between flights. Given that things like custom cameras and even flight hour counters are persistent for one aircraft they clearly have a facility to store “per aircraft state” between flights. I suspect that it is an “accident”, as it could simply be that those setting are simply “reset to zero” when an aircraft is loaded by the game … and that is where they stay until you “manually” dial them up. I wonder why they would have the brightness turned all the way down… Ive been having a hard time remembering the keyboard commands for X-Plane, and Ive looked around but couldnt find any diagrams online. So if someone has seen an aircraft where those commands do work … then I would like to hear that. What I did not get working in any aircraft that I tried (typically I test my issues with King Air, Longitude, 787, A320) is to bind the “(De)Increase Brightness” command to a button. What I observed in my tests (inclding in 1.10.11.0) is that (for the panel lights) I need to “manually” turn up the brightness dials inside the cockpit via the “real” controls … once the brightness is up then I can “toggle it”. So it seems that if you want to turn these lights on and off with … use exact match with quotes, for example: F. all my commands except in a particular category: -view. For example, you can search for: all commands in a particular category: view. Try using the search function to filter the list. While I had them both maxed out, I tried the switches, and they both worked. I have complied a complete set of keyboard commands for X-Plane. Two of the buttons programmed okay but didn’t seem to work when I went to the aircraft (Cessna 172/steam gauges): the “Toggle Glareshield Lights” and “Toggle Pedestal Lights.” As I was investigating the problem, I used the mouse to operate both, and could increase and decrease both. I’m trying to set up my interior lighting to buttons on my Cougar MFDs.
